A slew of stylish stars stepped out for the luncheon — and they brought out their best on the red carpet! See who turned up & VOTE for who YOU think donned the best look.
Ladies who lunch! A slew of stunning and talented A-listers stepped out in one amazing look after another for the Variety Power Of Women luncheon held at Cipriani 42nd Street on April 25 in NYC. Not only are these celebs insanely gorgeous, but they’re also philanthropists — and they totally rocked the red carpet! Claire Danes, Sarah Jessica Parker, Idina Menzel and Iman, were among the top best dressed contenders in our book, and we love the way they each showed off a totally different look.
‘Variety’ Power Of Women Best Dressed:
Sarah Jessica Parker, 49, is one of the six ladies to grace the cover of May’s Variety magazine. SJP was honored for her work with the New York City Ballet, and looked stunning while attending the event. The fashion icon stepped out looking ready for spring in a flirty, floral printed Giles Spring 2014 frock, a tan Alice + Olivia jacket and a pair of point-toe pumps. She finished off the get-up with a handbag from her very own SJP Collection. The fashionista paired her adorable look with stunning jewelry from House of Lavande, Fred Leighton, and Pamela Love.
Claire Danes’ ‘Variety’ Power Of Women Dress:
Fellow award-winning actress, Claire Danes, 35, looked pretty in pink at the event, which was hosted by FYI. The Homeland actress opted for a hot pink Oscar de la Renta dress that totally stood out — we can’t get enough of the bright hue! The talented star was recognized for her work with the organization, Afghan Hands.
Broadway star turned Hollywood starlet, Idina Menzel, 41, looked like a sight for sore eyes in a stunning, form-fitting teal Zac Posen dress, which is adorned with perfectly crafted flowing sleeves — and she showed off some serious cleavage! The Oscar winner added eye-catching diamond Jacob & Co earrings and bracelet and finished off her look with black Jerome Rousseau heels. Idina was honored for co-creating A Broader Way, which is a summer camp that allows young urban girls to find their voices.
Last but not least, supermodel and fashion icon, Iman, was honored for her work with the Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation, which helps to support victims of her homeland of Somalia. The 58-year-old beauty looked incredible in a very low-cut Michael Kors frock, which included a wide snakeskin belt to show off her incredible figure. She paired the look with a Michael Kors ‘Miranda’ clutch in a similar tone as the dress. I absolutely love this deep cinnamon color on Iman’s skin tone — but then again, she could wear a sack and still look incredible!
While I’m drooling over all of the fantastic frocks on the red carpet, there is one look in particular that really stole the show for me! Hollywood newcomer Idina Menzel really looked better than ever in her sleek and sophisticated Zac Posen frock. I love the deep teal color against her porcelain skin and it happened to fit her flawlessly!
