Tori Dean McDermott, 47, have obviously had their fair share of relationship woes, and Tori decided to bring the whole truth to TV with her new series True Tori. But are the tears and fighting too dramatic to be true? Keep reading to find out if the entire show is fake!
Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott Broadcast Their Rocky Relationship For The World Too See On ‘True Tori’
HollywoodLife.com has reported all of the crazy news on Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s relationship from Dean’s cheating scandal to his stunt in rehab, and now, of course the couple’s road to recovery, after the affair.
There’s no denying that Tori and Dean are putting everything out there for the world to see. The parents of four sat down in couples’ therapy to talk about their sex life on the premiere episode, which Dean did not appear to be too happy with.
“We have four kids, so in the sex department, there were ebbs and flows,” Dean said in their televised couples’ therapy. Tori didn’t agree: “We had a great relationship and we had a great sex life.” But Dean disagreed. Tori, crying, revealed, “I can never give him enough sex. He’s never going to be happy with just me.”
That is a lot of personal information to disclose on national TV! But is it all real?
On the premiere episode on Tuesday, April 22, Tori admitted that her “heart is broken“ and she was completely distraught when she found found out that Dean had hooked up with another woman. When the episode began, Tori looked straight into the cameras, saying, “Don’t feel sorry for me.”
But is that just Tori’s way of asking viewers to feel sorry for her?
Tori Spelling — Faking Her Love Woes For The Cameras On ‘True Tori’?
“After the slick season opener, many viewers found themselves wondering if the cash strapped 40-year-old hadn’t scripted the whole sorry saga to land the show,” says the Daily Mail. The site continues to add more fuel to the fire, reminding viewers that Tori is the daughter of one of the most successful TV producers of all time, Aaron Spelling, so she knows what makes for great must-see-TV.
“After all, this is the daughter of Dynasty honcho Aaron who even admitted in her own book, Spelling It Like It Is, that reality shows need a narrative structure,” says the Daily Mail.
In Tori’s book, she did admit that she knows how to make great, juicy television, which helped her with her prior reality show, Tori & Dean: “I’m Aaron Spelling’s daughter. I knew how to write the story. I knew what would tug on heartstrings.”
Furthermore, Jezebel claims that the timeline of the show is off. True Tori began filming on April 1, where Tori told cameras that Dean has been in treatment since the scandal broke in Us Weekly right before Christmas 2013. Meanwhile, Dean has been posting pictures of himself with the family on social media until mid-January — and many rehab facilities ban cell phone and internet access. Later, a statement was released by Dean’s camp only on January 23 that admitted Dean had checked into a treatment center for “health and personal issues.”
Still following us? Well, on January 9, the couple was spotted at the very same treatment center that Dean would be filmed at in True Tori. The site asks the question if the couple were location-spotting, but, could they not have simply been… rehab-spotting? Not every facility is right for every person — if Dean really wanted to get better, he needed to go somewhere that had a program that was right for him. Maybe the initial treatment that he sought — immediately after the scandal broke — wasn’t right for him.
“There’s no weight to the story,” a source close to Tori tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Dean went into treatment before Christmas. They did visit him there.” Well! Is that that, then?
True Tori certainly is tugging on our heartstrings, but do you think it’s farfetched? Let us know, HollywoodLifers, if you think that Tori is exaggerating her unlucky love life (and sex life) for the cameras!
