Kate Middleton Delights Wilhelmina Dreghorn
If you were obsessed with princesses like little Wilhelmina is, who is the number one person you would want to meet? Kate Middleton, obviously!
That’s why when Wilhelmina’s aunt found out that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would be coming to the National Portrait Gallery, her place of work, on April 24 as part of their Australian tour, she knew she had to bring Wilhelmina to the event.
Wilhelmina wore a pretty pink dress and held a bouquet of flowers in her hands as she waited outside of the gallery for Kate to arrive. When the Duchess finally did get there, she immediately knelt down and introduced herself to Wilhelmina — and even complimented the little girl on her beautiful dress!
“Thank you very much,” Wilhelmina said to Kate, according to Daily Mail. “I love your dress, is it new?”
Kate graciously accepted the flowers from little Wilhelmina, and then proceeded to carry them with her into the gallery. What a sweetheart!
