On the April 21 episode of ‘Dancing With The Stars’, James Maslow performed fantastically well with Peta Murgatroyd, but it still wasn’t the perfect score they had earned the previous week. HollywoodLife.com caught up with James’ Big Time Rush bandmate Carlos PenaVega and he told us why he’s so proud of his boy!
While they still received a high score of 35 out of 40 for their quick-step performance to “You’re The One That I Want” on the April 21 episode, it certainly wasn’t the perfect score that James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd had received the previous week. Still, though, we think that we can all agree that James is far and above exceeding the already-high expectations that were placed on the Big Time Rush bandmember! Bandmate Carlos PenaVega spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY and told us all about why he’s so proud of James’ success on Dancing With The Stars.
‘Dancing With The Stars’: James Maslow’s Big Time Rush Bandmate ‘Very Proud’ Of Bandmate James Maslow
“He is doing well. We all danced for five years on Big Time Rush so I expected him to do well,” Carlos told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. He continued, “I am stoked that he is killing it. It’s hard though, [Amy Purdy] is incredible and James is very talented, so it will be hard to see the ending.”
HollywoodLife.com obtained the interview with Carlos on the set of Webheads which is a game show that combines the wild world of viral videos and fun physical challenges where kids can win great prizes. The show is hosted by Carlos PenaVega airing Monday, June 2nd at 6 PM ET/PT.
We totally agree with Carlos! The contestants this year are so incredibly talented that we hardly know who to root for!
‘Dancing With The Stars’ — Carlos PenaVega: ‘Everyone Is Good, So People Are Watching Now’
“I really hope that this season helps the show,” Carlos continued. “Everyone is good, so people are watching now. Nobody is terrible, which is great.” While it’s true that DWTS certainly received a slight dip in the ratings for it’s 17th season, they certainly weren’t hurting with an average of 13 million viewers per episode! However, at an average of 14 million plus tuning in for this season, Carlos makes a valid point.
At the end of the day, Carlos told us that he is “very proud of [James]” and that his tenure on DWTS has been “awesome.”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Did you enjoy James’ quick-step with Peta on the April 21 episode? Do you agree that he’s performing awesomely in general? Do you want him to take home the mirror ball trophy? Let us know!
