Boy, 15, Shot For Cutting Foot Locker Line Waiting For Kanye West Shoes

So tragic. On the morning of April 19, a teenage boy from Brooklyn learned a hard lesson about cutting in line after he was shot for doing so outside of a Foot Locker. These must have been some serious shoes.

Thankfully, 15-year-old Isaiah Martinez is still alive after being shot outside of a Foot Locker in Brooklyn, New York. The shooting took place at 5:40 a.m. when Isaiah angered other shoppers by jumping ahead in line. Many had already been camped out for hours waiting on the 8 a.m release of Kanye West’s new sneaker.

15-year-old Boy Shot Over Nike Shoes

It’s nearly unbelievable that teenagers are literally risking their lives in order to get a new pair of sneakers.

Customers camped out all night at the Knickerbocker Avenue Foot Locker hoping to score a new pair of the $150 Air Jordan 11 Low “Green Snakeskin” and the $250 Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Yeezy” sneakers, which were released at 8 a.m. According to police reports, Isaiah angered customers when he cut in front of the long line to be closer to the front. A scuffle began after he refused to go to the back of the line, and one outraged customer told the teenager that he would be coming back with his gun.

Isaiah must have not taken the threat seriously, because he still had not moved when the gunman returned to fire 4 shots in his direction, one of which hit him directly in his foot.

There is still no suspect in custody, however, eye witness reports say that the alleged gunman was seen fleeing the scene while wearing a red jacket.

Is it really possible that no one identified the shooter? Or is the age-old New York “no snitching” rule still in full effect? Either way, we think it’s absolutely ridiculous that a teen got shot over a new pair of sneakers! What are your thoughts, HollywoodLifers?

This is something that is only gonna get worst until footlocker come up with a more responsible way of releasing these sneakers. These kinds of confrontation is happening at all of these footlocker all the time..even the security and employees are allowing people to skip so they could get multiple pairs and sell them over at a higher price…

He didn’t get shot over sneakers, he got shot over disrespecting all of those people who waited in the line like he should have. If this was the wild west it wouldnt even be a story…the ends would have justified the means.

How can that idiot shoot at this kid over some dumb pair of shoes?.Kanye’s shoes are nothing special. That kid is lucky to be alive and even if he cut the line they could have told employees not made such drama over it.Of course the dumb people don’t know the shooter if they are all in line waiting that long and paying that much for ugly shoes they must be dumb.

Some of you are so ignorant. They’re not even Kanye’s shoes. Nike took the colorway from Kanye’s shoes. That’s why they call them “Yeezy Foams”. Get your facts right before you find an easy way to cry about Kanye. We get you don’t like him. After awhile it just seems like pure hate. I wish some of you would use some of this same energy and use it towards the economy, or something that actually matters in the world.

The shooter once found should be charged with premeditation to commit murder. He not only could have killed the kid but others as well.

I cant believe that a young, teenage boy almost lost his life all because of a pair of sneakers, the stupidity of people in the world never ceases to amaze me, I’m just glad the boy is alive.

He got shot in the foot, how is that almost losing his life? Go to the back of the line, it’s a cornerstone of our society.

This kid din’t die, but now even if he gets the shoes he will only be able to wear one for a while.
I wouldn’t give Jordan or Kanye a damn dime.
I will never buy products with these people’s names attached to them.
They don’t care that dumb knukcleheads are dying just to own their crap.
That is why they only make a certain amount to put that crap in high demand.
They don’t make enough to go around on purpose.
That alone should make people boycott all their merchandise.
