Every cloud has its silver lining right? John Wayne Bobbit, the man who became famous in ’93 when his wife cut off his penis, is giving Andre some tips on how to deal with the trauma!
John Wayne Bobbit’s Advice To Andre Johnson
John Wayne Bobbitt went through a somewhat similar experience as Andre, when his wife Lorena cut his manhood off with a kitchen knife and threw it into a Virginia field — however, she called 911 and he went through a successful reattachment surgery. Andre wasn’t so lucky, as his could not be reattached after he cut it off on April 16.
“You have got to get lucky,” John told FOX411 in a new interview. “And it’s about the doctors and it’s about time. You only have a certain amount of time to get the tissue to the doctors to reassess and get you to surgery to reattach you, and for it to work, because as the tissue starts to decompose the less likely it will survive the operation.”
For John, he explains it was cool outside since it was early in the morning and he put his penis on ice — but “it probably didn’t work [for Andre], because it was hot outside and you only have a couple of hours. The warmer it is the less time you have.”
Andre Johnson Will Go Through ‘Deep Emotional Pain’
Well, this is just getting more and more awkward. Unfortunately, he also said that it’s not just the physical pain to get past.
“It’s a traumatic experience, it hits you not only physically but also seriously mentally, and it definitely [causes] deep emotional pain and depression,” he said.”
That’s not great news for Andre, since he also tried killing himself after cutting his penis off, by jumping off from the second story of an apartment building in North Hollywood, Cali.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you surprised that John did an interview about the trauma?
