Poor Miley! The singer tweeted that she is ‘miserable’ and ‘can’t quit crying’ after she was hospitalized for a severe reaction to antibiotics and forced to cancel an April 17 concert in St. Louis, Mo. Now it looks like Miley could be stuck in her hospital bed for up to 27 more days. How awful!
Miley Cyrus is completely “devastated” after she had to cancel her April 15 concert in Kansas City and a second concert in St. Louis, Mo. on April 17, the 21-year-old singer’s rep announced on April 16. Miley says she would give anything to be “doing what i love on stage” but her severe allergic reaction to cephalexin, an antibiotic doctors prescribed to treat her sinus infection, could keep her in the hospital for as many as 27 days!
Miley Cyrus Hospitalized — Singer May Be In Hospital For 27 Days & Cancels Show
Miley will “remain hospitalized” for an “indeterminate amount of time,” her reps revealed in an April 16 statement, the UK’s Daily Mail reported.
The energetic and hardworking Bangerz singer seems to be going stir crazy in the hospital, and she’s doing her best to stay connected to her fans. On April 17, she took to her Twitter and Instagram accounts to share a heartbreaking picture of herself in her hospital bed, alongside the caption:

As disappointed as her fans may be to miss seeing her perform, Miley seems to be just as heartbroken. And it looks like her sorrow is just beginning. Miley’s rep said in the statement that her illness could last for up to 27 days!
Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic cephalexin, which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from 5 to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.
Our hearts go out to Miley. We know this must be so hard for her, especially given how much she loves her loyal Smilers!
Miley Cyrus Hospitalized: The Real Reason She Had A Breakdown
While Miley’s allergic reaction may be the main cause of her hospitalization, a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the singer’s intense grief over losing her beloved dog, Floyd, is taking a serious toll on her health.
“What Miley is suffering from is much more than an allergic reaction to antibiotics,” a source close to the singer told HollywoodLife.com. “She’s really suffering from the death of Floyd. Floyd was her best friend. She feels like a part of her, a big part of her, has died.”
After Floyd’s untimely passing, the usually positive singer has been having trouble sleeping, and she is “beyond exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally,” the source added.
Miley definitely seems to be missing Floyd, as evidenced by her April 17 tweet and Instagram, in which she used the hashtag “#wishicouldcuddlefloyd.” Aww.
We hope Miley feels better soon. What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you worried about Miley’s health? Let us know!
