Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley got the scare of a lifetime when she found out that her unborn daughter had a cyst on her brain. In a blog post written on April 15, the future first-time mom shared her terror over finding out that her little girl may be sick inside the womb. So scary.
Jenni Farley, 28, had every pregnant woman’s worst fear confirmed during her first six months: her unborn baby was suffering from a rare condition.
JWoww’s Baby Had A Cyst On Her Brain
Now that she is expecting her first child, Jenni (aka JWoww), is sharing a personal experience with her baby that absolutely terrified her.
At an unknown point in her pregnancy, a sonogram revealed that Jenni’s unborn baby had a large cyst growing on her brain.
“’Your daughter seems to have a small cyst on her brain… I see this every so often and you,'” Jenni recalled the doctor telling her over the phone. “At this point I honestly can’t tell u what he’s saying because I go numb and tears are just flowing. I can’t even begin to try and stop the tears.”
Jenni saw a specialist the next day with her fiance Roger Mathews by her side, and the couple were informed that this condition is called a choroid plexus cyst and only occurs in 1-2% of pregnancies.
Thankfully, Jenni and Roger were also told that this type of cyst will often go away over time. In fact, at her 25 week check up, an ultrasound revealed that the cyst had gone away!
“Fast forward to this checkup which brings me to 25 weeks aka six months. My daughters cyst went away!!!!!!” Jenni wrote on her official blog.
JWoww’s Placenta Is Too Low
During the visit with the specialist, Jenni received even more bad news: her placenta is too low.
Because of her placenta’s low-lying position, Jenni was at risk for bleeding which could complicate her pregnancy. Jenni’s doctor warned her and Roger to be careful, and when they asked him to elaborate his response had them both laughing: no sex!
“I literally burst out laughing hysterically. Roger swears I paid him to say lmao. So now no sex for a Month!!!” Jenni wrote on her blog.
Thankfully, at the same time Jenni found out her daughter was healthy and cyst-free, she also found out her placenta was a bit higher which cleared her and her baby’s health scare. Phew!
