‘The Fault In Our Stars’ is one of the most highly-anticipated summer movies and co-stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort gave us a new sneak peek at the MTV Movie Awards!
There are still a handful of weeks left until The Fault In Our Stars lands in theaters and breaks our hearts with its beautiful and tragic love story. However, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort presented an all-new clip of their summer film adaptation at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards on April 13! We are so ready to watch Hazel and Gus fall in love on the big screen.
‘The Fault In Our Stars’ Sneak Peek: ‘It’s A Metaphor’
From Twilight to The Hunger Games, the MTV Movie Awards has always been the hotspot to showcase upcoming young adult movies. At the April 13 awards preshow, fans were given an all-new look at the new movie starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, based on the bestselling novel by John Green.
The exclusive clip featured Gus trying to convince Hazel to watch a movie with him after their support group meeting. Understandably, Hazel was a little hesitant about hanging out with a guy she just met. Gus — always so suave — said to Hazel: “Come on, Hazel Grace. Take a risk.”
Then, Gus put an unlit cigarette in his mouth, much to Hazel’s disgust. Fans of the book are sure to love this teaser, especially since it’s such a coveted one from the book! Gus smoothly replied to Hazel, “It’s a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don’t give it the power to do its killing.” (Swoon.)
‘The Fault In Our Stars’: Shailene Woodley & Ansel Elgort Fall In Love
Fans of the bestselling book and upcoming movie were treated to the first trailer back in January. The story follows two cancer-stricken teens who fall in love despite their dire conditions. Both Shailene and Ansel are perfectly cast in the roles of Hazel and Gus and we can’t wait to see the whole film — even though we’re going to need tons of tissues.
