Prince George was recently assigned a new nanny, and on April 7 the world got their first look at Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. The royal helper arrived in Auckland, New Zealand along with the rest of the family entourage, and she is set to accompany Prince George during his entire three-week international tour.
Prince George’s New Nanny — Maria Borrallo
Here it is! Our first official look at Maria, Prince George’s new nanny.
The 43-year-old professional hails from Spain, and joined the royal family’s staff in late February 2014.
Although Prince George arrived with his parents, Duchess Kate and Prince William, it is Maria who will care for him during the family’s three week tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Kate and William have a ton of events to attend as a couple, which is why full-time nanny Maria will be a huge help to them.
Maria traveled with the rest of the royal staff, including Kate’s hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, and private secretaries Miguel Head and Rebecca Deacon.
George’s Original Nanny Jessica Webb Retired At 71
Maria was not the first nanny Prince George met when he was born 8 months ago.
Prince William originally asked his own nanny, Jessica Webb, to care for his first son.
However, Jessica decided to retire in February 2014, which is when Maria was brought on board as the new nanny.
