Kate Middleton arrived in New Zealand to a royal welcome complete with festivities, adoring fans, and a muscular man covered in tribal tattoos, with a bare butt.
The 32-year-old Duchess, Prince William, and baby George arrived in New Zealand on April 7 as a first stop on their New Zealand/Australia tour. They immediately set off for the Government House in Wellington where they showed off baby George to the awaiting masses and New Zealand dignitaries. Kate was then greeted by a very well-built man covered in tattoos, wearing a thong, but don’t worry — this was all planned.
Kate Middleton: Future Queen Greeted By New Zealand Man In Thong
The very muscular tribal tattoo covered man was not streaking or causing a scene — he was actually dressed in traditional Maori Warrior clothing and was at the royal’s landing event to represent the indigenous culture of the island, reports the Huffington Post.
Nevertheless, his bare bottom and bare everything else must have been quite a shock for the buttoned up royals.
The weather was a little wet but that couldn’t stop the New Zealanders from showing off their traditional tribal dances.
A few Maori dancers (including the heavily tattooed and bare-bottomed performer) performed a traditional ancestral war cry dance and even encouraged William to participate.
William declined, probably because we wasn’t dressed for the occasion, or maybe because he was to dressed for the occasion.

It appeared that everyone was either wearing too much or too little at the event. It also seemed like whatever people did have on — they couldn’t get to work.
Stepping off the royal jet, Kate experienced a gusty wardrobe malfunction. Her bright red dress was blown a little to high by the wind and revealed a little more than she wanted to the awaiting New Zealand crow.
