The experts weigh in on why James Franco would hit on a 17-year-old-girl in the first place and what they have to say is very eye-opening.
James Franco: Fantasies About Young Lover ‘Clouded’ His Judgement
Dr. Carole Leiberman, a Beverly Hills Psychiatrist , who does not treat James, said “His fantasies of having sex with her clouded his brain when he went so far as to comply with her request to send a photo with her name on it, ostensibly to prove it was him.”
“Clearly Lucy was setting a trap. Her birthday visit to NYC (if this is even true) grabbed her the headlines she wanted. Broadway went to her head,” Dr. Leiberman added.
James clearly was not thinking ahead when he was reported to have asked Lucy to tag him in the photo and swap contact info — a fact that experts also have also picked up on.
“James clearly misjudged how sly this 17-year-old from Scotland is. He assumed that, since she waited for him after the play, she was a besotted fan and easy to get into bed,” Dr. Leiberman said.
“He missed lots of red flags in the online conversation: She’s from “Dollar” Scotland, here with her mom, and not yet 18,” she added.
James Franco’s Young Lover Fantasies ‘Clouded’ His Judgement
James did try to do damage control by going on Live! With Kelly And Michael on April 4.
“I’m embarrassed,” James confessed on the show. “I guess I’m just a model about how social media’s tricky. It’s a way people meet each other today, but what I’ve learned is you don’t know who’s on the other end. I used bad judgment and I learned my lesson,” James said.
“At least James is publicly acknowledging his mistake instead of trying to somehow wiggle out of it,” Dr. Leiberman said of his morning talk show confession.
“It’s sad that, as rich and famous and handsome as he is, some insecurity stops him from finding more suitable love matches.”
What do you think HollywoodLifers, do you think James needs help, or has this whole event been blown way out of proportion? Let us know.
