When Lea-Ann Ellison was just two weeks away from her due date, she sparked major controversy when she was snapped lifting weights. Now, four months after her baby boy was born, Lea-Ann wants all of her haters to know that both she and her baby boy are doing just fine.

Lea-Ann Ellison, 35, is a fitness enthusiast who went back to CrossFit training just three weeks after giving birth to her son, Skyler.

Lea-Ann Ellison — Back At CrossFit 3 Weeks After Giving Birth

In September 2013, body builder Lea-Ann sparked controversy when she was photographed lighting weights and working out while she was eight and a half months pregnant.

With just two weeks to go until her due date, the mother of three wanted the world to know that pregnancy is not an illness, it’s an opportunity to “relish” your body’s abilities. However, the public did not agree with her.

Now, four months after giving birth to her son Skyler, Lea-Ann spoke to the Daily Mail because she wants the people who berated her for her pregnancy workouts to know that she and her baby boy are both happy and healthier than ever.

“I started back at CrossFit three weeks after my son was born,” she told the outlet during an interview. “I did not go very hard as my body was still healing but I was so happy to be back to my program.”

Lea-Ann Got The ‘OK’ From Doctors For CrossFit

The mom of three’s workout of choice is the CrossFit training program, which is an aggressive but “well-rounded pursuit of general, overall fitness in the ten recognized domains, as opposed to the bodybuilding ideology of pursuing perfect muscle symmetry, size and cuts.”

Lea-Ann was training for two and a half years when she found out she was pregnant, and she immediately consulted her doctors about her workout regime. Not only did the doctors give her the green light, they insisted that she keep training.

This is something I have been doing for many years and to discontinue would have been a disservice to my body and my unborn baby,’ she explained during her interview.

Her body is use to that training. I wouldn’t recommend it for the average woman. Joggers continue to jog. Nurses continue to lift. A woman knows her body and if she thought, at any point, her childs life was in danger, she would stop. Good for her. Blessings to them all.
