Vladimir Putin Calls Sarah Palin On ‘The Tonight Show’ — Watch
Jimmy Fallon did it again! The late night comedian has been on fire lately with his celebrity spoofs, and last night’s April 2 skit was no exception. Jimmy invited Sarah Palin to the show and you’ll never guess who else stopped by…
“If you’ve been following the news, you know that a few days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin called President Obama to discuss the situation in Ukraine,” Jimmy said as he introduced the skit. “And not many people know this, but right after he talked to Obama, Putin made another phone call, this time to someone who actually predicated his invasion of Ukraine, back in 2008.”
He then told the audience that they have footage of the conversation and then, this happened…
The video started with Jimmy Fallon wearing a bald cap with a slight combover, and as Vladimir Putin, he finished his last call. “Okay, talk to you later, Barack. No you hang up!”
Then Sarah Palin’s phone rings.
“Vladimir, what are you doing calling me?” The Russian President tells Sarah (“Captain Buzzkill”) that he heard that she had predicted his invasion of Ukraine four years prior, and then the incredible spoof of a conversation goes on to make light of Sarah’s slew of unconventionally named children, March Madness and even Pharrell‘s hit song, “Happy.”
You’ve got to watch the video of Jimmy — or should we say Vladimir? — singing along with the flute-playing Sarah. We promise it’ll make you happy.
HollywoodLifers, did you crack up over the video? What is your favorite Jimmy Fallon skit of all time?
