Rachel Uchitel — ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Interview
When you’re a business-savvy Upper East Sider looking for love, who do you turn to? Patti Stanger, of course! That’s exactly what Rachel Uchitel, 38, did when she was finally ready to take the plunge back into the dating pool.
It’s been about a year since Rachel split with her husband, Matt Hahn, and now that she has her children’s boutique Wyatt Lily open and running, she knew it was time to move forward with her love life.
“Patti and I have mutual friends and we were put in touch. I wanted her to help me, and she decided it would be fun to do it on her show,” Rachel told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY when we spoke to her on April 2 in New York City.
Of course, dating as a single mom is not an easy task. Especially when you are putting your own business together. That’s exactly why Rachel turned to dating professional Patty for help!
“My priority is my daughter, and my second priority is my business, and they really go hand-in-hand,” Rachel explained. “For me to even want to go on a date with somebody, they have to be pretty special. It’s really hard to just meet somebody special out of nowhere, so that takes somebody setting you up, somebody that you trust, and somebody that has a good track record with it.”

Rachel Knew What She Was Looking For
A business-savvy woman such as Rachel is definitely not interested in playing games, and she told HollywoodLife.com exactly what kind of qualities she asked Patti to help her find in potential dates.
“The kind of guy that I told Patti I was looking for was somebody who was strong willed, who has experience in life, who was a little bit older, and who stood out.” Rachel explained. “When they walked in a room, they make an impression. Somebody who was self-aware. The main thing I told her was they had to love kids, and they had to be open to someone who had an existing family already, and somebody who loved dogs, because my dogs are really important to me as well. “
In fact, Rachel shared that she has two adorable dogs that she’s had for 12 years now. Her daughter, Wyatt Lily, thinks of the dogs as her brothers. So cute!
Is Rachel Dating MLB Star Bret Boone?
Although Rachel wouldn’t name names, she reveals that she had a “great” time with someone very special who made her feel “comfortable” while they were together.
“It was raining, so we picked a date that was indoors, and we went to a batting cage and we played baseball, and we went to dinner at a really nice restaurant in L.A. and watched the sunset and talked,” Rachel shared. “It was fun.”
Hmm, batting cages for a first date? Sounds like it would be right up former MLB star Bret Boone‘s alley! Rachel has been romantically linked to the athlete lately, and even confirmed to us that she is not single. However, her lips were sealed when we asked her to confirm if the pair were really dating.
“I ended up picking a great guy, we had a really great date, and our date took place in California,” Rachel shared with HollywoodLife.com. “We had a really nice time, all I can say about that is that we had a ton of fun and I am definitely still in contact with him.”
Looks like you’ll have to tune in to Millionaire Matchmaker tonight to see who Rachel picks!
