On the April 1 episode of ‘The Little Couple,’ Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein focus on giving their kids, Will and Zoey, a ‘normal life’ as Jen finally receives a clean bill of health.
The April 1 episode of The Little Couple showed TV’s strongest family forming a bond that cannot be broken! Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein have worked hard to make their two toddlers, Will, 3, and Zoey, 2, feel comfortable and acclimated in their new home — and clearly the adorable couple are great parents!
‘The Little Couple’ Bonds Over Dinner & Games
On the April 1 episode of The Little Couple, we see our newly expanded family eating dinner together and spending quality time with one another.
Will and Zoey are adorable and just cannot wait for Jen and Bill to get to the table before starting to eat — and unlike most children, they love broccoli! Who knew?!
Though both kids may love their greens, Will also really loves his sweets.
Bill put it best when he said, “Will is about as strong willed about wanting cake as Jennifer is about him not having some, so it is a battle to the death there.”
Eventually, after several rounds of Will begging for cake, he finally settled for a cookie — or two!
After dinner, the whole family decides to play doctor, and Bill reveals yet another hat that he wears in the family.
“One of my many facets is, I am Nurse Bill. Our kids understand a lot more than we give them credit for. Zoey gives herself fake shots when mommy is getting a shot, and Will is like my medical assistant,” Bill says while he prepares Jen’s shot.
The most heartwarming part of this episode was seeing how far Bill and Zoey’s relationship has come in just a few short months. Bill was able to take his daughter to her first doctor’s appointment alone and reminisce on their rocky beginning.
“Looking back on our trip to India, we barely knew each other, she didn’t trust me as far as she can throw me. Now she smiles and interacts and plays, and she does it all around me.” Bill explains. “She’s my little girl, and she loves me, and I am there for her.” So sweet!
Bill is, honestly, the best. He has been such a rock throughout Jen’s battle with cancer and through Zoey’s adoption process. He has had to take on many responsibilities that I am sure neither he nor Jen expected, and we are so happy to see that his relationship with Zoey has flourished.
Jen Gets Some Good News At The Doctor
While Zoey was at her first doctor’s appointment, Jen was at the hospital receiving another chemotherapy treatment.
However, nothing can stop this mom — not even chemo!
Jen decides to leave her inpatient room to visit with Bill and Zoey while the adorable tot was receiving her first official check-up.
“I guess at times it’s hard for me to not doctor, even at my daughters own doctors appointment,” Jen admits.
The strong mom couldn’t help herself, and during the check-up Jen was the one who checked Zoey’s mouth to see how her teeth and pallet were developing. After finding Zoey’s mouth to be in good health, and hearing that she had gained some much needed weight, the amazing mom was treated to some good health news of her own.
Jen’s chemo levels showed that the next round of treatment would be her last! Jen’s cancer is in remission!
“I am definitely excited for the news, but it is hard to completely process it,” Jen admits.
We cannot imagine the sense of relief and happiness that Jen felt when she heard the good news. We are so happy for Jen and the entire family! This family has come a long way in such a short time — Jen and Bill have created such a great environment for Will and Zoey, and they both seem to be fully adjusted to their new life with their adoring parents.
What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Are Will and Zoey adjusting well to their new life? Are Jen and Bill doing a great job at balancing everything on their plate?
