Believe it or not, Lance Bass took to Twitter on April 1 to announce that the band was getting back together to record two new songs and head on a 2015 tour!
“NSYNC Announce Reunion: 2 New Songs, Tour Coming in 2015,” Lance, 34, tweeted linking to a story on RyanSeacrest.com. The post claimed that ‘NSYNC’s official Twitter account wrote “Do you want us back??? Get ready for more of that dirty pop in 2015!!!!!”
Following their performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise if the band decided to record a few more songs together. However, with Justin Timberlake on a tour of his own, that may be difficult.
Unfortunately for our tender little hearts, this is all just an April Fools Joke.
And Miley Cyrus Is Involved
However, the tweet from their account does not exist.
What else doesn’t exist? The tour and all its made up details — the report of a fourth album being released of the band’s greatest hits including with a collab with Miley Cyrus; the rumor that Miley will open for them; and that the tour will be called “There Are Still No Strings Attached.”
Sadly, at the end of the post, there is a disclaimer.
“*April Fools! The above story is just a fun fabrication … hope you had a good laugh with us.”
‘NSYNC’s Twitter did tweet out, “Good one @lancebass.” We don’t agree! Why can’t this be true! Would you want them to go on tour again, HollywoodLifers? Let us know.
