Plus, Rachel gets a serious wakeup call when Artie moves to the city and things are everything but easy for him.
Kurt (Chris Colfer) went from having no roommates to three on the April 1 episode of Glee, when his fiancé Blaine (Darren Criss) moved in and Rachel (Lea Michele) moved back in. Meanwhile, Sam (Chord Overstreet) was having a hard time finding a job so was also staying on their couch. That’s a lot of people in one Bushwick flat.
Artie Reminds Rachel Of Who She Is
With Rachel’s dream of becoming a huge star turning into a reality before of her eyes, she easily looses sight of herself. The team at Funny Girl was so proud of her hard work, they reward her with the use of her own personal car and driver 24 hours a day. Meet Dmitri (Manos Gavras), her driver who is super hot and doesn’t really speak.
However, that happy-go-lucky rich girl status that only Rachel
can would pull off got to be too much for her friends, who were busy living real lives. Artie (Kevin McHale), quickly realized that NYC isn’t what he thought it would be and that being in a wheelchair is really holding him back — especially when he gets his laptop stolen while in the subway.
It was hard to watch Artie roll around the city and really try to make it while Rachel was zipping around in her town car. But of course, it didn’t take her long to realize that she wasn’t being the nicest, and decided to ditch the car and start taking the subway with Artie — and they miraculously saw the guy who stole his computer and got it back! (Not the most realistic situation, but whatevs.)
Is Klaine Heading For Disaster?
At first I thought it was just me who noticed that it was strange how Kurt and Rachel’s once-tiny apartment now fit four people — but it wasn’t. Once Blaine moved in, Kurt was immediately feeling claustrophobic.
So, to get away from it all, Kurt met up with Elliot (Adam Lambert) — but it’s not (exactly) what you think. Elliot didn’t try to break them up, but instead admitted that while Kurt and Blaine are young to be engaged, their love is evident when they’re together and all they need is some boundaries. Of course when Kurt told Blaine that Elliot gave hime advice, Blaine becomes the jealous boyfriend — and literally gets in Elliot’s face.
Calm down there, killer! Elliot again shocked me by being the good guy, and giving Blaine advice too on how to make his relationship work with Kurt. Then they end up jamming together. It’s a strange, twisted triangle, that I kind of love.
Sam Gets An Unexpected Roommate
Meanwhile, Sam finally cut off those locks and landed a modeling gig, but still needed a place to live. Perfect for Blaine since he and Kurt decided that to make their relationship stronger they need to have a little space.
But of course Sam and Blaine can’t live alone — it’s a good thing that Mercedes (Amber Riley) decided to come to NYC to get some Harlem hip-hop sound and invited them to live together. The obvious sexual tension between Mercedes and Sam will most likely last a week or so until they hook up again. But we can’t wait.
What did you think of this week’s episode, HollywoodLifers? Will Mercedes and Sam get back together? Will Klaine make it? Will Rachel ever be back to the down-to-Earth girl she never was?
