If you are a child of the ’90s, you definitely remember O-Town. More than a decade after the ‘Liquid Dream’ band broke up, they’re fulfilling our inner-tween dreams because they’re about to make a big announcement and we’ve heard the boys are getting back together! Keep reading for all of the details!
First the Backstreet Boys? Then the Spice Girls? And now O-Town? What did we do to get so lucky? O-Town is set to make a special announcement on Monday, March 31, and word on the street is, the band is getting back together.
O-Town Is Getting Back Together
Back when reality TV was barely a thing, five young men were featured on MTV’s Making The Band in 2000. (Remember that?) Jacob Underwood, Ashley Parker Angel, Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick and Dan Miller (remember them?) formed a boy band, and quickly became a huge phenomenon. Fast forward three years, and the group broke up — but what happened in those few years was purely magical. Fast forward another 10 years and O-Town is getting back together!
An official statement has yet to been made, but the boy band is definitely making an announcement on their website this upcoming Monday, March 31, and HollywoodLife.com has learned that it’s the news we’ve all been waiting for. “They will have a special announcement through their official website on Monday, March 31st at noon PST,” the band’s rep told HollywoodLife.com.
The have to reunite, right? Their website has an actual countdown — literally, the only thing on the website is a countdown clock. Well, that and a dreamy black-and-white photo of the guys, obviously.
Ashley Parker Angel Out?
But there are only four guys! O-Town, who released two albums in 2001 and 2002, respectively, is returning this time, as a quartet. Jacob, Erik, Trevor and Dan are banding back together, but Ashley is out. What?! No Ashley Parker Angel?
The blondie of the group launched a solo career and then followed up with his own band, Mansions of Arcadia, in 2012. He also had a baby boy, Lyric, back in 2008.
In the words of O-Town, we’d prefer “it all…or nothing at all!” but we’ll live with four out of five of the guys.
HollywoodLifers, are you excited about O-Town’s reunion? Let us know if you can’t wait for their new music!
