Georgia based rap group Migos was involved in a mafia style drive by shootout in Miami on the night of March 27.
Migos’ van was shot up while the group was driving on the highway leaving a recent performance, according to a police report obtained by TMZ. Another vehicle pulled up alongside the van and opened fire riddling the group’s vehicle with bullet wholes.
Migos Involved In Miami Mafia Shootout
There were reports one of the group’s bodyguards was shot in the leg needing to be hospitalized, according to TMZ, however Migos’ manager revealed that none of the group members were injured.
The manager added that Migos returned fire at the other vehicle. The number of occupants of the other car is unknown at this time.
“There was at least 40 rounds being blasted on those n******.”
The manager stated that after the shooting the group’s driver sped off to the nearest hospital — thinking someone in the van might have been shot — though somehow all three members Quavo (Quavious Marshall, 22), Takeoff (Kirshnik Ball, 19) and Offset (Kiari Cephus, 22) escaped unharmed.
Police confiscated the van from the hospital, and it’s being processed as part of the investigation. No report has been released yet saying whether or not Migos or their attackers have been charged for discharging their weapons.
