In just the second week of competition, not one, but two couples were eliminated on the March 24 episode of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’ And I think the wrong people were sent home. See why below.
Why would the higher-ups at Dancing With The Stars think that sending home TWO couples in the first elimination was a good idea? The celebs are just starting to get the hang of dancing, and two journeys were cut way too short. In addition to two couples going home, I disagree with who got voted off and 65% of HollywoodLife.com readers agree with me. Warning: spoilers ahead.
Sean Avery Eliminated From ‘Dancing With The Stars’ — Wrong Person
It’s true that Sean didn’t come off that great on the first episode. He almost seemed a little creepy. But he was much more endearing in the second episode, right before he got voted off!
It’s so unfortunate, especially since his pro partner Karina Smirnoff is such a fan-favorite. Sean really started to shine in his second dance, and judge Carrie Ann Inaba even commented on his “real rhythm.” He got a score of 21, a very respectable score for week 2 and the same score that Candace Cameron Bure got, who everyone seems to be in love with.
The other star eliminated was long distance swimmer Diana Nyad. She was so enthusiastic about the show and learning, saying she wanted to be on the show for years! It was sad to see her go.
Billy Dee Williams Needs To Go Home
In the rehearsal footage, we saw a frustrated Billy saying that he felt like he was “looking at an old man in the mirror.”
Hate to break it to you, Billy, but you are an old man. You’re 77 years old. Although I commend his work ethic and guts for doing the show to begin with, I think we’ve indulged him enough and it’s his time to go home.
He got a 15 on both his first and second dances. Although he’s entertaining to watch, he doesn’t really seem to be learning or growing. As Carrie Ann said, he needs a lot more content in his dances. He barely moves around the floor and heavily relies on his partner Emma Slater to carry the dance.
Do you think Billy Dee Williams should have gone home, HollywoodLifers?
