Kevin Bacon Recreates Iconic ‘Footloose’ Dance On Jimmy Fallon

Sat, March 22, 2014 1:30pm EDT by 13 Comments

After 30 years Kevin Bacon’s still got it! The veteran actor appeared on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon and performed ‘Footloose,’ and he looked just as sexy as ever!

Kevin Bacon,  55, let everyone see that he hasn’t lost a step after his performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The actor did a full-on  themed dance entrance from Footloose to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the movie that catapulted K-Bakes into the public eye.

Kevin Bacon Dances Into ‘The Tonight Show’

You could tell by the way Jimmy was sitting at his desk that he couldn’t wait to introduce his first guest — a man who made popular every dance move that you’ve ever seen your parents do at a wedding.

That man was Kevin Bacon! The actor, who currently stars in the hit TV series The Following.

As part of Jimmy’s introduction skit he said, “dancing has been outlawed here on the show.” For those of you who do not know about Footloose — the whole movie takes place in a town where pretty much everything fun has been outlawed — especially dancing.

It’s a crazy concept but it was 1984 when the movie came out so just go with it HollywoodLifers.

Kevin Bacon Dances On ‘The Tonight Show’

This is not the first time we’ve  had to relived the memory of Footloose. In 2011, director Craige Brewer oversaw a remake of the classic film, which starred Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, and Dennis Quaid.

If I had been in the audience, I would have jumped up and started dancing.

There’s no way that all of that was Kevin Bacon. The dancing part, sure. But the uneven bars and flying through the air? No way.

No it wasn’t, and he had doubles in the movie as well, but they were trying to recreate the scenes from the movie not show off Bacon’s gymnastic skills.

NOYB,.,If you WATCHED THE SHOW, Kevin gave PRAISE TO HIS STUNT DOUBLE! Showed him on tv and said how GREAT he was. Why do you kids ALWAYS think people are trying to pull a fast one? He did the DANCING HIMSELF, but his DOUBLE did all the flips. Why can’t you people give credit when credit is due??/ HE WAS AWESOME, and didn’t skip a beat.

Segmenting his market is a smart marketing and branding move by Jimmy Fallon. He certainly knows how to attract a audience in addition to his millennial base. This recent Kevin
Bacon sketch is really a savvy move. Is there any stopping him. Stay tuned.

C-O-O-L!!! Just like JCVD doing the splits on the moving semi’s at 53,and Sly & Arnold still making Great action films today in their 60’s—It’s always nice to let the world know, that just because you’ve aged—doesn’t mean you aren’t any good anymore! It just means you’re more Seasoned…
K.Bacon: You really took me way back for a few minutes there! It was 1984 again! I felt like I was at theater watchin’ you rip-up the screen again for the first time! The moves are still kickin’,dude! Glad to see you’re still cuttin’-loose! You know what they say: Some of us don’t grow older, we just get—Better! LOL! It’s always nice when that saying is proven true! Thanks for that!

By cleaning your air ducts, you can reduce the
amount of dust that will accumulate on furniture, reducing
the time that it takes to clean your home.

You cannot settle for merely average, run of the
mill industrial cleaning services when there are far better industrial cleaning
services available on the market and this is why you must procure industrial cleaning services from an established and
well known supplier. Tiles are often hard to clean
and most of the products in the market don’t remove stains
from tiles as well as they should.
