Anita Baker is about to be singing a different tune. The Grammy-winning singer is being hunted by the Detroit PD after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Anita Baker, 56, has been slapped with an arrest warrant by the Detroit Police Department for failing to appear at a creditor’s examination, in 2013, as part of a lawsuit. The “No More Tears” singer may be shedding a few if this warrant goes through, and the police haul her off in handcuffs.

Anita Baker may soon be giving the best she’s got in court, reports the HuffingtonPost.
The Grammy-winning singer is accused of not paying a painting and decorating company over $15,000 for work done in her home in Grosse Point, Mich., just outside of Detroit.
Anita instantly took to Twitter to defend herself on March 20. She tweeted what appears to be a response to learning about the warrant from a Detroit TV news report:

“We’re not trying to give her any hard time or anything unnecessary. We would just like to collect the money for my client,” attorney Daniel Gerow, who represents Ray Smith Painting and Decorating, told ClickOnDetroit.com. “He’s owed the money, and that could end it all right then.”
