L’Wren Scott, famed fashion designer who was a favorite among the celeb set, was found dead on March 17 in Manhattan, according to authorities. The 49-year-old was found hanged to death in an apparent suicide — and her longtime boyfriend, Rolling Stones member Mick Jagger, is absolutely “devastated,” by the news.
L’Wren Scott Dead — Designer & Girlfriend To Mick Jagger Commits Suicide:
The designer was found hanging from a scarf on a doorknob by her assistant at 200 11th Avenue around 10 AM, police told the NY Daily News. According to a source, police do not suspect foul play, however, the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death. She was found unresponsive, and when EMS got there she was announced dead on arrival, police confirmed to HollywoodLife.com.
According to the newspaper, the designer texted her assistant at 8:30 a.m. and asked her to come over, police sources said. When she arrived, she found L’Wren’s body and called 911.
A spokesperson for L’Wren issued the following statement to HollywoodLife.com: “We confirm the tragic death of L’Wren Scott. At this devastating time for Ms. Scott’s family and friends, we request that their privacy be respected.There will be no further public statement for the time-being.”

L’Wren was not only a talented designer, but a model and the longtime girlfriend of The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger. A spokesperson for Mick Jagger told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “He is completely shocked and devastated by the news.” Mick and L’Wren have been dating for over 10 years and have been romantically linked since 2001. Mick was in Australia at the time of her death, on tour with the Rolling Stones.
