Chris Brown is headed to the big house! The embattled singer will most likely spend up to a month or more in prison for breaking his probation.
Chris Brown Faces Up To A Month Or More In Prison
Chris could be behind bars and wearing the “orange jumpsuit” very soon. TMZ has confirmed that Chris will most likely face up to a month or more in prison.
The singer was hauled off to Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles on March 14, and officially booked on felony charges at 2pm. Chris was arrested after being thrown out of the Malibu rehab facility where he had been living for nearly 4 months. Additionally, the “Fine China” singer is being held without bail.
The same judge that oversaw Chris’s very much talked about Rihanna beating case, ordered Chris to stay in rehab until April 28, when his D.C. assault case goes to trial.
However Chris broke the rules during his rehab stay, was booted out, and Sheriff’s deputies from the Lost Hills Patrol Station quickly took him to jail.
Chris’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, makes an appearance in court on March 17 in an effort to convince the judge to throw Chris a bone, and let him either go to another rehab facility, or go on house arrest pending the D.C. trial.
The D.C. trial is set for April 17. Mark has a pretty strong defense as there are many holes in the prosecution’s case. However, if Chris is found guilty, he could end up in prison for breaking the law while on probation in the Rihanna case, reports TMZ.
Chris Brown Heading To Prison For A Month or More
Chris is not the only one that has been hurt by this most recent ruling. His girlfriend Karreuche Tran is also beside herself as she deals with the possibility of losing Chris again for another month.
“Karreuche is completely floored,” a source close to her revealed exclusively to HollywoodLife.com. “Just when she though he was getting closer to healing and getting his stuff together — this s**t happens.”
“She loves him and when you love someone, you’ll do anything,” the source added.
What do you think HollywoodLifers? How do you think Chris will handle his prison sentence? Leave us your thoughts in the comments.
