‘The Voice’ blind auditions are officially over! We can’t wait for next week’s battle rounds, but tonight, the big battle was right at the judges’ table. Not only did Blake beat out the other coaches to complete his team first, but he also landed the night’s best singer!
Adam Levine is not going to be happy! Blake Shelton wrapped up his team on a high note, scoring the only singer to get all four coaches’ chairs to turn around tonight, Kaleigh Glanton. Keep reading to find out all about Kaleigh‘s stellar audition on The Voice!
Blake Shelton Is First Coach To Complete His Team
The last night of the blind auditions brought drama right over to the judges’ panel. Blake, Adam, Usher and Shakira were all hard to impress and harder on each other. Even if the talent weren’t so great this season, we’d still be hooked on the coaches’ banter!
The first contestant was Joe Trombino. The New York native showed off some funky moves, but unfortunately, the judges can’t see him dancing, unless their chairs turn around — and they didn’t. Joe still had an impressive audition so he’s proof of just how tough the judges can be when they only have so few spots left to be filled on their team.
Kaleigh Glanton of Kansas was up next with a beautiful rendition of “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” The daughter of a classical guitarist, she’s been performing in a duo with her father since she was a little girl. So did her life experience prepare her for The Voice stage? It sure did! Kaleigh might just spend the rest of her life thanking her family for those musical genes — the soulful brunette got all four chairs to turn around and ended up with Blake, who complimented the singer on her “unique style.”
And just like that, Team Blake was complete!
Blake Finishes First And The Other Judges Go Head To Head
If only this were The X Factor. Just kidding — that was cancelled! But in all seriousness, Brittnee Camelle got the coaches vying for her, after her incredible performance of former X Factor judge Demi Lovato‘s “Skyscraper.” Shakira fought hard for the young powerhouse, but Brittnee decided to be coached by fellow Atlanta native, Usher, rounding out his team.
“I don’t know who from my team is going to win, but I’m gonna win,” said Usher. Looks like he’s happy with his turnout!
With only Adam and Shakira left eligible to get more singers on their teams, 27-year old father of three, Beau Thomas, was up next with Ray LaMontagne‘s “You Are The Best Thing.” Unfortunately, the judges didn’t think that he was the best thing of the night so he headed backstage to his family. Again, the judges were picky tonight, but we loved Beau‘s positive attitude!
California girl Lindsay Bruce took the spotlight next with her beachy blonde hair and sweet pipes. Within seconds of singing “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” Adam turned around, just to be followed by Shakira. Both coaches tried to persuade the country sweetheart, and poor Adam — Blake and Usher told Lindsay to choose Shakira, and it worked. Girl power!
Adam Is Last Coach To Complete His Team — Was The Best Saved For Last?
Although Adam was the last to complete his team, he still believes that the season’s winner is on his team, and not on Blake’s. “Blake’s winning streak is over,” he said of his bromantic buddy.
But would the final contestant land a spot on Adam’s “winning” team? Absolutely! 19-year-old donut shop employee Caleb Elder wrapped up the night, and Adam turned around almost immediately. Caleb almost couldn’t contain his excitement, but he kept on groovin’ and we’re just smitten by this kid! Not only was his voice unique, but his routine was so much fun to watch. We hope the battle rounds are just as entertaining, as Caleb’s audition.
Adam told Caleb that he’s a “cool dude,” and he meant it — the Sexiest Man Alive live tweeted #DonutsForEveryone, and we can’t think of anything sweeter than that.
Next Week On The Battle Rounds
Just kidding, there is something sweeter than donuts — the battle rounds! The final night of the blind auditions ended with a teaser of next week’s episodes and we’re so excited for the steals. An added bonus? The Band Perry, Jill Scott and Blake’s wife Miranda Lambert are all stopping by as mentors.
HollywoodLifers, are you rooting for Blake for win this season of The Voice?
