Kevin Bacon Teaches Millennials About The ’80s In Hilarious Video

Born after 1985? Because if so, Kevin Bacon has a message for you — you’re annoying. Find out what Kevin has to say about the days before smartphones (the horror) below!

Kevin Bacon may be hotter than ever right now thanks to The Following, but he’s still majorly pissed — mostly because he finds everyone born after 1985 to be incredibly uninformed and annoying. Thankfully, Kevin’s here to teach us all about Rubik’s Cubes, the Cold War, and pre-smartphone dating in his “’80s Awareness” video!

Two-time Saturn Award-nominee Kevin Bacon is seriously annoyed with modern technology.

“If I was too shy to ask a girl out, there was no OKTwinder,” he laments.” I went to the White Pages — Google it. And called her house. And then you had to make small talk with her mom for like, 20 minutes before she even came to the phone. And let me tell you, when she turns down your invitation to Sbarro’s, you can’t just swipe away the hurt.”

Okay, so that does sound pretty horrible. Even worse is the Cold War, but Kevin’s wrong about that one — we Millennials learned all about it on The Americans!

“You couldn’t even skateboard to a Blockbuster without getting nuked,” he says. “My friend Tommy went out to rent a copy of Gremlins and never came back. You know why? Nuked. At least that’s what my parents told me.”

Sing it, Kevin. Check out Kevin’s thoughts on the ’80s, and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

The 1980’s were the greatest time in American & probably world history. Everything was UP,even when things were down, they were still up+Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of my lifetime.
Idiot kids now days are taught things that just make them more ignorant, foolish+stupid, like smoking cigarettes is bad but pot smoking is ok. From all my travels, experience&the current government, the world is DOOMED. And yes Lisa, cashiers can’t even make change anymore. Kids have no work ethic, but, still expect to make huge money, even working fast food. We’re doomed.

I’ve never smoked anything in my life, I barely drink, and I love to learn. I’ve regularly held two jobs at once, never call in sick, I never go out partying, I never slack off at work, and I don’t come in hungover. Oops. Looks like your hate-filled stereotype doesn’t hold up.

How about you stop spreading hatred towards people who cannot control when they were born? You do realize how much of a horrible person you look like, right? “These people were born, therefore I hate them.”

We do not have the ability to choose when we are born. Hating us on that basis is ABSURD. If you did not want us to exist, as I said in a previous post, you should have used condoms. The generation before mine chose to have children. Yet it’s our fault that we are here? That’s not sound logic.

Technology is advancing. Get over it. Minimum wage is impossible to live off of, get over it, we have a right to demand a livable wage. Even if all of us were able to go to college, study for our dream job, and gain the skills necessary for having careers, we would STILL need retail workers, janitors, food workers, and gas station attendees. STOP saying we deserve to live in poverty just because some of us don’t have a white collar job. We can’t all be successful, it’s statistically impossible. If you really think the blue collar work force is worthless, imagine what would happen if all of them decided to go on strike. Imagine if every restaurant, grocery store, gas station, and shopping mall shut down for a whole day. The country would lose BILLIONS.

Nobody is worthless. Stop acting like they are.

LOVED IT! SO TRUE! These kids have NO IDEA ABOUT LIFE! Heads stuck in these damn phones. It’s all downhill from here. I go to restrants and NOBODY CAN EVEN ADD ANYMORE! How sad is that?
