Jack Bauer is back — saving the president and no doubt depriving millions of viewers of their precious sleep throughout the duration of the heart-pumping, clock-ticking series.
Kiefer Sutherland and company have me hooked on 24: Live Another Day already, and all I’ve seen is the awesome trailer! It may only last 33 seconds, but those of you who remember the original show know that 33 seconds is a lot in 24 time! Anything can happen, and everything does. Here’s why 24 will be a can’t miss.
’24: Live Another Day’ Trailer Looks Action Packed & Amazing
I didn’t start watching the original 24 series until after the second season started, so my viewing experience basically consisted of staying up all night watching episode after episode and then trying to find excuses of why I needed to skip class and watch it during the day. “Umm, professor, Los Angeles is about to be blown up by a nuclear bomb so I’m really not going to make it to your office hours…”
Anyway, from the moment I started, I was hooked, and saying goodbye to Jack Bauer — though it definitely worked wonders on my sleeping habits — was one of the saddest TV goodbyes of my young years (second only to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which clearly I am still mourning. Team Angel for life).
Luckily, unlike Buffy, Jack is back, and from the looks of the 24: Live Another Day trailer, so are my sleepless nights.
From what I can glean from the action-packed sneak peak — filled with explosions, guns, fights and more — the 12-episode series, which begins on May 5, will pick up where the original left off, with Jack escaping from the CIA who believe he’s an enemy of the state. Of course we, the devoted viewers, all know that Jack is not the enemy — in fact, he’s the only chance the CIA has to save the president from a foreign assassination attempt!
Kiefer Sutherland Looks Great In New ’24’ Trailer
As for the star of everyone’s favorite anti-terrorism action series, Kiefer, 47, looks amazing in the half-a-minute trailer, which showcases him at his very best — deep, commanding voice booming and physique right back in Jack Bauer shape! (Fully not being creepy, but I think I even spied him shirtless in one scene!)
I honestly cannot wait to see what the full series has in store! What about you, Hollywood Lifers? Will you watch 24: Live Another Day? Let us know!
