Season 2 of ‘Marriage Boot Camp’ premieres on March 7, with counselors Jim and Elizabeth Carroll fully prepped to help everyday couples figure out the red flags in their marriages. However, we wanted to hear what these love and body language experts had to say about our favorite celebrity couples — find out what Jim and Elizabeth had to say about J. Law and Nicholas Hoult, Brangelina, and more below!
Jim and Elizabeth Carroll help married couples sort though their differences every day, so who better than these Marriage Boot Camp stars to determine which celebrity couples will make it, and which ones should split?
‘Marriage Boot Camp’ Stars On Hollywood’s Hottest Couples — The Good
The March 2 Oscars were arguably the biggest night of the year for hot celebrity couples, and Jim and Elizabeth made sure to examine all of the hottest couples’ body language to determine who has what it takes to make it through, and who — well — might need some marriage boot camp.
Brangelina: “Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are devoted parents to six children and share a passion for humanitarian causes. From the Marriage Boot Camp perspective, Brad and Angelina have what it takes to make a love-filled relationship go the long haul.”
Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith: “This is another solid marriage that has weathered the vicious rumor mill of an impending divorce, an open marriage, and bisexual romps. Will and Jada have been together since 1997 and are committed to their family, their work, and their faith.”
Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis: “Both seem to have the capacity for long-term relationships; Olivia was married for eight years and Jason was married to writer Kay Cannon for six years. The only red flag we see with this couple is a potential for conflict on political issues; she is a passionate supporter and activist for progressive interests while Jason is less involved and comes from conservative, midwestern roots.”
Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves: “The red carpet body language seems to show a difference in personality; Matthew appears warm and affectionate, while Camila seems shy and looks uncomfortable in the spotlight. We do not see any red flags here, just a personality difference that will require good communication skills to prevent any bitterness. Matthew and Camila are committed to their family, their work, and their faith.”
‘Marriage Boot Camp’ Stars On Hollywood’s Hottest Couples — The Not-So-Good
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all good news on Oscar night — Jim and Elizabeth found some major red flags on the red carpet.
Jennifer Lawrence & Nicholas Hoult: “Jennifer and Nicholas met on the set of X-Men: First Class, dated for two years, broke up, and then recently got back together. Rumor has it that they got engaged on Christmas at her parent’s house in Kentucky, but this rumor has not been confirmed. What has been confirmed is that Jennifer and Nicholas spent time after Christmas with Nicholas’ family in England, which bodes well for the commitment. The question of compatibility comes up because it is often difficult for couples whose families are disconnected by two continents. In addition, Nicholas shows evidence of being committed to philanthropy while Jennifer does not. These two are still very young and have a lot of growing to do.”
Charlize Theron & Sean Penn: “Sean has had a couple of very public breakups, one from Madonna and one from his wife Robin Wright. Charlize has said publicly that she never wants to be married. Add this to Sean Penn’s famous temper, and you have a formula for potential disaster. While this relationship has numerous red flags, we’ve seen couples like this work out their differences and become committed to fulfilling each other’s needs.”
Channing & Jenna-Dewan Tatum: “There are two red flags with this couple: Channing has ADHD and dyslexia, which can put a strain on a relationship and require that both Channing and Jenna keep the lines of communication open regarding the common and sometimes challenging features of these personality traits.”
