Not even home from prison, Lil Boosie has already recorded a freestyle! This rapper is officially back, and he’s on fire!
After a five-year stint in a Louisiana State Penitentiary, Lil Boosie is finally free and able to get back to what he does best — rapping. And it didn’t take long for him to get started — the 31-year-old rapper recorded his first freestyle since entering jail before he even got home — in the car!
Lil Boosie’s New Song — Records Freestyle On Way Home From Prison
Released from jail three years early on March 5, Lil Boosie got straight down to business, recording a quick freestyle on his car ride home.
Aptly titled “The Ride Home,” the 54-second rap video is not much to look at — mainly the back seat of a dark car and the lights shining in the night as the rapper rides home to freedom. But what the video lacks visually, it certainly make up for in audio!
Albeit brief, the rap is meaningful, clever, and humorous, with just enough anger and sarcasm for us to know for sure that it’s Boosie.
Highlights include “Man just trying to take off these jail clothes,” and “[get] back to doing what I was doing with my money machine. Ching, ching.”
Yep, Boosie is back!

And with his return, Boosie promises to stay true to his unique tone and style, which, as he explained to Spin magazine in an interview while still in jail, he feels is way more of a “reality rap” than hip hop.
Lil Boosie cares about the real issues, and is not afraid to speak his mind, which is no doubt part of the reason his fans are so excited to have him back on the outside.
Upon his early release, they flocked to Twitter to send their congrats and welcome messages his way.
How about you HollywoodLifers? Are you glad to have Lil Boosie back? Let us know!
