One of the best performances on Oscar night didn’t come at the ceremony, as the Hemsworth brothers hilariously dramatized one of the most famous viral videos ever, “Charlie Bit My Finger,” and played two siblings at odds on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.’ Read on to watch!
Have you ever watched the viral video “Charlie Bit My Finger” and wondered what happened to the sibling rivalry? Well lucky for you, Jimmy Kimmel Live made a drama out of the fall-out from that incisor incident, starring Liam and Chris Hemsworth.
Liam & Chris Hemsworth Star In ‘Bitman Begins’
The trailer for “Bitman Begins” starts rather mysteriously — a more general story of brothers at odds — as Chris tells his mother (Meryl Streep) that he must exact revenge on the brother with razor-sharp teeth who wronged him.
Enter Liam, who is brooding in the dark until Tom Hanks warns him that Chris is coming for him.
That’s when the action begins, as Liam and Chris face off on the top of a skyscraper as helicopters soar above them and sirens rage below them. “I was only a child!” Liam pleads, before warning his older bro that he will hurt him (and do more damage than a mangled hand) if need be.
And finally it’s revealed what the premise of this goofy, melodramatic trailer is, thanks to a rousing monologue from Chris: “Mercy!? You hear that God? He wants mercy. After what he did! Charlie bit me! Charlie bit my finger!”
Wow. Well done, you two. The skit was an incredible mix of humor and drama — and it perfectly spoofed intense action movies while also sending up one of the most well-known YouTube videos ever. Now, can we just get a full-length film of Bitman Begins?
