I thought you had to die in the year being honoured ?
These oscars are for year 2013 , so Phillip, Shirley, etc, should be in next years show.

I’m not sure about Cory Monteith, a television actor. I fully expect to see Ray Harryhausen, the legendary special effects master. I hope Alain Resnais is mentioned, as well.

The problem is they have said in the past that you had to have been in an actual movie to be in the Oscar memorium. (umm….Farrah Fawcet and Andy Griffith…Cory Haim…the list continues of left out actors who WERE in movies.) Cory Monteith would not qualify. They BETTER add Shirley Temple Black. They probably wont. They’ll be too busy glorifying a drug using OD death!

Are you kidding me? Sorry, but there are many more worthy folks deserving of the “In Memorium” segment…Ester Williams, James Gandolfini, Annette Funicello, Johnathon Winters to name just a few. Paul Walker and Sara Jones and Harold Ramis should be left on the list. The drug addicts, eh…not so much.
