Bullsh-t. Complete and total bullsh-t. Bipolar II is the lesser form of the disorder. It comes with hypomanic episodes, and hypomania does NOT cause violent behavior. The symptoms of a hypomanic episode are grandiosity (thinking your the greatest thing since sliced bread), decreased need for sleep, increased talkativeness/rapid speech, racing thoughts, distractibility, overactivity, especially in goal-directed areas, psychomotor agitation (restlessness) and excessive participation in risky behaviors, like hypersexuality, gambling, shopping sprees, etc. NONE of those symptoms include violence.

This unnamed facility is probably a second-rate facility where celebrities can buy a diagnosis in order to get sympathy and try to use it as a get-out-of-jail-free card or as a convenient excuse for their behavior, and the “doctors” hand out medications like candy in order to add some perceived level of credibility.

I have Bipolar I, the more severe version and you know what I’ve never done? Beat someone up. I’ve never smashed a brick through a windshield, either.

Bipolar disorder is NOT causing his behavior. His own irresponsibility caused his behavior. People like him disgust me. It’s a–holes like him that are the reason that people are so ignorant about mental illnesses. They see the grossly inaccurate portrayals of it on TV and in movies and the occasional celebrity who pops up claiming to have them after they screw up and they buy it wholesale. It’s people like him that only perpetuate the false belief that mental illnesses like bipolar disorder make people violent or dangerous.

@Max Just because you didn’t have this type of behavior does make this diagnoses wrong

.Come on dude, you know every disease or disorder affects people different, first we don’t know the full details or circumstances for either incident we were only told the end result.

Bipolar Disorder is nothing to laugh about. Clearly you lack the mental and emotional maturity to comprehend the seriousness of this mental disorder, so why don’t you just go back in the corner and finish your coloring book?
