An unintentional custody battle began on this season of Teen Mom 2 when Kailyn Lowry and her husband Javi Marroquin decide to buy a house and move out of state with her son, Isaac. Before the judge comes to an agreement, Isaac’s father Jo Rivera demands two more nights a month with their son.
Kailyn Lowry & Jo Rivera Fight Over Custody Of Isaac
On the Feb. 20 episode of Teen Mom 2, 21-year-old Kailyn decided to move out of state with her son Isaac before getting permission from a judge. In a sneak preview from the follow up episode, Kailyn reveals that Joe is requesting two extra nights a month in exchange for allowing her to move out of state with Isaac. Since Jo already gets eight nights a month, Kailyn is tries to compromise with him so that she can enroll Isaac in a part-time school program and began his education process near their new home.
Not surprisingly, the discussion between Kailyn and Jo quickly turns ugly when he tells Kailyn that he thinks she’s being “petty.” Ouch.
Kailyn Doesn’t Want To Give Up More Time With Isaac
Even though Kailyn tells Jo he can’t have Isaac ten nights a month is because she wants to enroll him in school, her emotional breakdown after their disagreement reveals another reason. Kailyn did her best to maintain her notoriously bad temper as she left Jo’s house, but once she got into the privacy of her own vehicle she makes an emotional phone call to her husband, Javi.
“Like, I’m not — I don’t wanna lose more time with my kid,” Kailyn explains through tears.
