As if we needed another reason to get excited for Spring! Chris Brown finally revealed the date of his new album, and HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that he’s really going to reveal a lot on his new album, ‘X.’
Chris Brown’s ‘X’ Will Tell ‘His Story’ & ‘Put Him On The Map’
Chris wanted to share the good news with his 13 million Twitter followers right when he left rehab:
“X” is by far my best album yet…. Setting the date for MAY 5 pic.twitter.com/cFrfpgsBcD

The 22-year-old singer has a lot to be excited about, as he just finished a 90-day stint in rehab, and even went back to spend more time after he was done to be sure he was on a positive track back.
His album, X, is finally coming out, we hope, in May. First it was supposed to be July. In August, he let his fans know that this could be the last album. Then in October, Chris announced that the album would be out in November.
“He’s more determined than ever to let X tell his story,” an insider close to the singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “He knows that it’s do or die with this next album. Everybody has been waiting on this to drop for more than six months, and it’s been pushed back several times that people probably forgot all about it. He doesn’t want that.”
Chris Wants To Prove He’s Still Got It
He doesn’t want people to forget — instead, he plans to prove to them all that he’s only improved and he’s not going anywhere just yet.
“He’s an artist and he knows he’s got to come with it and hard with his new music,” the insider revealed. “He knows that a lot of his fans are missing his music and he wants to prove to them and to himself that he’s still got it and hasn’t fallen off.”
The source added that Chris hopes this will “put him on the map, once again.”
