Jonah Hill’s character compares Channing Tatum’s character to Chris Brown because he’s ‘a good dancer,’ but also ‘meaner’ than he should be.
Any decent human being with a pulse knows that domestic abuse is a serious matter, devoid of humor — but apparently the writers of 22 Jump Street didn’t get that memo. Chris Brown & Rihanna Joke In ’22 Jump Street’ Trailer
“We’re like a power couple,” Channing Tatum‘s character says, to which Jonah Hill‘s character replies, “We’re like Rihanna and Chris Brown. You’re a good dancer and sometimes you’re meaner than I’d like you to be.”
22 Jump Street finds slacker cops Jenko and Schmidt (Channing and Jonah) reuniting after the events of the first movie. But rather than going back to high school — again — the sequel finds them going undercover at college.
