Michelle did not disappoint at The White House State Dinner on Feb 11. Wearing a Carolina Herrera ball gown, the first lady was the epitome of elegance.
Michelle Obama chose a dramatic ball gown as her look for this year’s State Dinner, which was held in honor of French President Francois Hollande on Feb. 11. Wearing one of her go-to designers, Carolina Herrera, the first lady caused jaws to drop!
Michelle Obama At White House State Dinner
This look is very different from what the First Lady wore to the State Dinner in 2013. Last year, Michelle sported a gorgeous Marchesa look, complete with a statement necklace and updo. This year, Michelle opted for a more traditional and regal style, featuring a full blue skirt and an intricately-beaded black bodice. Her hair was kept down and was curled loosely to add volume.
We love that the top of the dress featured a scallop design with sleeves that came down to the first lady’s elbows. The top was complete with an on-trend black velvet belt. We haven’t seen the First Lady wear this kind of silhouette before and we think it suits her perfectly!
Michelle Obama In Carolina Herrera
We really love this look on the First Lady; it was a perfect choice for this occasion. President Barack Obama looked great as well in a traditional black tux. The FLOTUS and POTUS really do make the perfect pair!
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you a fan of the first lady’s look?
