Samuel L. Jackson Yells At Reporter: ‘I’m Not Laurence Fishburne’ – Watch

Samuel L. Jackson gave one unfortunate reporter the public berating of a lifetime when the man made the unfortunate mistake of confusing him with ‘The Matrix’ star Laurence Fishburne. Lucky for us, the whole thing was hilarious.

What’s the number one thing you should never, ever do to a celebrity? Mistake them for another celebrity! Especially when you’re a professional entertainment reporter, and the celeb in question is the famously candid Samuel L. Jackson. KTLA reporter Sam Rubin learned this the hard way on Feb. 10, when Sam scolded him (on live TV) for not being able to tell the difference between the Avengers star and Laurence Fishburne.

Samuel L. Jackson Yells At Reporter: ‘I’m Not Laurence Fishburne’

Samuel L. Jackson is tired of these mother f–king reporters confusing him with other motherf–king actors, especially The Matrix and Hannibal star Laurence Fishburne. So when KTLA’s Rubin asked about Samuel’s Super Bowl commercial — which was actually Fishburne’s Super Bowl commercial — he was not afraid to take the man to task. On live TV.

Sam Rubin Apologizes

“You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter,” Samuel said to the clearly embarrassed Rubin. “I’m not Laurence Fishburne! We don’t all look alike. We may be all black and famous, but we all don’t look alike. You’re busted.”

Rubin tried to drop it and change the conversation over to Jackson’s new film Robocop, but the amped up actor was clearly not ready to let things go.

“You’re the entertainment reporter for this station and you don’t know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? That must be a very short line for your job outside there,” he said. “I’m the other guy. There’s more than one black guy doing a commercial. I’m the ‘What’s in your wallet?’ black guy. He’s the car black guy. Morgan Freeman is the other, credit card black guy. You only hear his voice, though, so you probably won’t confuse him with Laurence Fishburne.”

Hilarious. Check out the video, HollywoodLifers, and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Research BEFORE an interview. that reporter has been around too long to make that type of a mistake. Two talented actors who look nothing alike…..the reporter was just stupid. But, Mr. Jackson handled it well.

WOW! Where did getting to know a person become a lost art? Samuel L Jackson is a great actor; Lawrence Fishburne has his own great style; Morgan Freeman, well… what can I say?…He is a master! They are incredible people! I only can glean this from their portrayals on the big screen. The first mistake- made by the entertainment reporter- is seeing them all as black people, first, and then blah, blah, blah, all the rest afterward. Well, there is always a lot of “the rest”, about every person.

Wow that was so awkward to watch. Samuel should have been cooler than that. The guy did apologize. A mistake is a mistake.

If you think that was awkward, I envy your lap of luxury. He was making fun of what could have been an awkward situation. Jesus. What a joke. I found the interview hilarious because of his reaction. But no, people like you have to fly off the handle. “HOW DARE HE POKE FUN”

Im guessing you haven’t heard of the age-old racist joke that “All black people look alike” by white people.. Of course that’s a sensitive subject in America.

Unfortunate reporter? LOL! This is Fox. Do you really expect that they would know extremely popular black actors?
