None other than Drake has possibly confirmed rumors of Lil Wayne releasing a new and potentially last album. Drizzy mysteriously took to Twitter in the wee hours of Feb. 10 to write ‘Carter V.’

Tha Carter V is presumably Wayne’s next album — so was Drake hinting that new music is on the way?
Lil Wayne Set To Retire
If he was, then Lil Wayne’s retirement may be just around the corner. In a conversation with MTV’s Sway back in 2012, Weezy revealed that he was going to release one more album after his I Am Not a Human Being II that would feature collaborations with Kanye West and Eminem, just to name a few.
Unfortunately, Kanye’s only involvement will be in designing the album’s packaging. However, as a big plus, the new LP will feature “leftover” tracks from his previous albums – Tha Carter III and Tha Carter IV according to the hip hop website Hypetrak.com. If you can remember, Tha Carter III alone had one of the largest ‘First Week Album Sales’ of all time selling 1,006,000.
We at Hollywood Life would think that hip hop enthusiasts should be chomping at the bit to listen to tracks that couldn’t make it on to that iconic album.
Just last year the New Orleans native dropped in on Jimmy Kimmel Live to further confirm his aspirations of retirement. But the late night TV host wasn’t buying it. “Will this be a real retirement or one of your usual retirements, or a rap retirement when you make 12 albums after that,” said Kimmel, adding, “I mean Tupac died and he’s still making albums.”
Wayne responded, “Yes that is true, I want to retire after Tha Carter V.”
HollywoodLifers, would you like to listen to one last Lil Wayne LP?
