Dry your tears, flappy faithful. HollywoodLife.com knows you can’t live without the Bird, and we’re here to help!
Flappy Bird fans all over the world are in mourning, as the game has been yanked from all online stores by its creator, Dong Nguyen — but lo, there is a light at the end of this seemingly endless tunnel!
Flappy Bird Online — Deleted Game Lives On Forever
Though Flappy Bird is no longer available for purchase on mobile devices, there is an online version of the game that’s free to play for anyone who missed out on their chance to download it.
Several websites are hosting a flash version of Flappy Bird, which features the same graphics, sounds — and, of course, frustrating gameplay — as the original.
Hey, maybe they should call it Flashy Bird, eh? … No? OK, sorry about that.
Flappy Bird Creator Falls Prey To Death Hoax
Not only is Flappy Bird still alive and well, but so is Dong, despite what a sick online hoax would have you believe. Shortly after the game was deleted, a false news report began circulating Twitter, claiming that Dong had committed suicide.
Perhaps Dong’s recent string of bizarre tweets — including one which stated he “cannot take this anymore” — inspired the horrific hoax, but there’s really no excuse for such a sick prank.
HollywoodLifers, are you devastated about Flappy Bird being pulled off digital shelves? Are you thrilled that the game will live on(line) forever? Drop a comment with your thoughts on this developing story below.
