I am not understanding why Alfred came back and why Mrs. Patmore was talking about some sort of flu. Was he invited back or was it a surprise. I am hoping that he will fall in love with Daisy but he seems smitten with Ivy. Was was all of this flu stuff about? Thank you very much.

Mrs. Patmore and Mrs. Hughes told Mr. Carson they were worried about Ivy and Daisy who are arguably fighting over Alfred. For the sake of peace, they asked Carson to not bring Alfred to the house. Unfortunately, Mr. Carson had no way to get in touch of Alfred before he came so he met him at the station and told the “flu” lie in hopes that Alfred wouldn’t come to the house. Alfred showed up anyways saying he’d “take his chances.”

I get paid over $87 per hour working from home with 3 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I’ve been doing, >>>>>>>> YELLWORK.ℭOℳ

What a shame about Ediths choice, just because someone is crying abortion is bad? I once saw some right to lifers showing big blowup pics of aborted fetuses on campus; it was gruesome, but that is no reason not to have an abortion. Open heart surgery is gruesome, so is amputation, doesn’t make them wrong! Crying is also a sign of relief or an acknowledgement that you wish some SOB didn’t get you pregnant! I hate facile storylines.

Regardless on how you feel about abortion, it is a difficult and life-changing decision. Ask anyone who has thought of doing it or has done it. I can’t imagine anyone NOT crying no matter what they decide. And she decided not to do it because she didn’t know how she would walk into the nursery where her niece and nephew were afterwards. Seeing the other lady cry just confirmed her decision.

There was yet another element to her decision not to abort. They were talking before about the place not being totally safe. Remember, this happens beginning of last century, the practice was not very safe, let alone illegal. Thus, she also feared for her health/safety.
