Should Selena still be in rehab? After spending 14 days in Dawn at The Meadows rehab facility in Arizona, the singer reportedly checked out to attend Sundance — but was she supposed to return?
Selena Gomez was extremely courageous to admit she needed help, but was 14 days enough time to get her healthy again? On Jan. 5, Selena entered a 45-day program, according to a new report, and the staff at the Arizona rehab facility really feel that she didn’t get the help needed!
Selena Gomez Left Rehab — Too Early?
Selena checked into rehab for “young adult issues,” a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, so why did she leave so quickly? Well, she wanted to go to the Sundance Film Festival to promote her new film, Rudderless, TMZ is reporting — so she checked out.
On Jan. 20, she stepped out debuting a new haircut at Sundance after her hairstyle posted a pic of her with the caption,”Sometimes you just need a fresh start #2014#Sundance #shorthairdontcare.”
However, the staff at The Meadows didn’t think she was ready to go. She reportedly told her team that she would return to the facility after the festival, but decided she was cured.
To complete the program, the staff reportedly strongly feels that she needed to finish all 45 days, but Selena feels that she made it through “Survivor’s week” — the first week there — so she’s fine.
Selena Needed Time Away From Justin Bieber
We know that Selena really just wanted to spend some time on herself, and get away from the drama surrounding her life — including the trouble her on-again off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber was getting into.
“[She entered rehab for] various reasons — young adult issues, working too much, relationship issues,” a source close to the Come & Get It singer told us. “Pressures of being with Justin and the people surrounding him. Clearly, look at what they’re into! She is continuously working on herself and wants to be a healthy and happy adult and out of that relationship!”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Selena should finish the program?
