Farrah Abraham has revealed that, while promoting the release of her sex tape, she was ‘drugged and raped.’ Farrah, who currently appears on ‘Couples Therapy,’ also said she was physically abused by her parents as a child.
Farrah Abraham is opening up about her painful history of abuse, which dates all the way back to her childhood. In a recent interview, the 22-year-old Couples Therapy star shared that she was raped multiple times after the release of her sex tape, and that her parents often left her with welts and bruises if she ever misbehaved.
Farrah Abraham ‘Drugged & Raped’ More Than Once While Promoting Sex Tape
If you’ve been watching Couples Therapy on Vh1 you’ve already seen Farrah deal with quite a few personal issues; now, it appears she’s garnered the strength to open up about her history of sexual and physical abuse to InTouch Weekly.
Sadly, the physical abuse came at a very young age directly from her now-divorced parents, Debra Danielson and Michael Abraham.
“[They] would beat me with a belt if I acted out. I had cuts, bruises, welts, swelling, and scars,” Farrah recalled.
Violence Is A ‘Big Part’ Of Farrah’s Life
Matters only got worse for Farrah after the release of her sex tape, Backdoor Teen Mom. To help promote the X-rated video, Farrah says that she found herself in ‘unsafe’ situations during promotional appearances at strip clubs and porn conventions alike across the country.
“I allowed thetype of people into my life. I was drugged and raped more than once, it was a very dark time.”
On the bright side, it’s clear that Farrah is taking the necessary steps on her own personal road to recovery – starting with the intense therapy we see on Couples Therapy.
“It’s horrible what I’ve been through. It’s caused a lot of problems, but I’m happy that I have been able to live through it.”
