I’m sure I’m not the only one who was completely shocked by the Feb. 3 episode of ‘The Bachelor.’ While Clare’s idea to visit Juan Pablo in the middle of the night may not have been the smartest, she has no reason to be embarrassed.
Things are really heating up on The Bachelor, and while I’m not complaining (because Juan Pablo Galavis is gorgeous and all the girls are stunning), I’ve got to say that JP changed the rules again and is really starting to hurt people. Clare felt humiliated after hooking up with him and my heart broke for her, but she really shouldn’t feel bad!
Clare & Juan Pablo Hook Up
After the group date was more like a one-on-one date between Clare and Juan Pablo with eight girls watching, it was no surprise that he gave her the rose — did he even notice anyone else?
However, she broke the rules afterward when she decided to head to his room at 4 AM, and wake him up for a scandalous make-out-and-maybe-more dip in the ocean.
While of course this wasn’t the best idea from Clare, she made a good point — she’s looking for love. For her, it’s the two of them and she’s following her heart. So it was his responsibility to draw the line. He didn’t draw any line — and if he did in his head, he definitely crossed it when they hooked up (who knows how far they went).
Clare Shouldn’t Be Embarrassed For Following Her Heart
A few hours after, he decided to tell her that they went too far and that it shouldn’t have happened because it’s not fair to the other girls. Then it got worse when he said he shouldn’t have done it because he has a daughter.
All of the girls have been really understanding about his daughter whenever he decides to change the rules, so for him to make her feel like she didn’t care about Camila, was just “rude,” as Chris Harrison put it.
It was no surprise that Clare immediately broke down in tears and began rambling on saying that wasn’t her intention — but it wasn’t necessary. She didn’t do anything wrong. She’s there for love, it’s the catch phrase we continue to hear. If he thought she was going too far, he should have thought with his head and said no off the bat.
I’m not saying it’s easy — I get that saying no to a beautiful woman in a bikini is not an easy task and that it’s overwhelming for him. But he has to realize that his actions have consequences. After the episode, even Chris Harrison said that he told Juan Pablo to apologize and that Clare was really heartbroken!
What do you think of Juan Pablo’s reaction after he hooked with Clare? Let us know!
