Plus, something insane is going on with Stiles — and he has absolutely no idea.
After weeks of wondering WTF is happening in Beacon Hills, the Feb. 3 episode of Teen Wolf finally gifted us with something I never thought we’d actually get: Answers!
Answers About Kira: She’s A Kitsune
Kira (Arden Cho) confessed a major secret to Scott (Tyler Posey) this week, and it wasn’t just that she wants to jump his bones. I mean, that’s not even a secret at this point, is it? No, Kira’s big revelation is that she’s actually a kitsune, which is essentially a Teen Fox.
It’s unclear whether or not Kira is ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ but there are apparently 13 different kinds of Kitsune, so it’s pretty up in the air at this point. The twins certainly seem to think she’s bad, but they don’t even go to school, so what do they know?
Answers About The Shadow Creatures: They’re ‘Unstoppable’ Demons
Not only did Papa Agent (JR Bourne) reveal his personal history with the shadow creatures — more specifically, with a chap named Mr. Katashi — but we also learned what the creatures actually are! They’re called Oni, I believe, and they’re allegedly “unstoppable” demons, which is pretty terrible.
To make matters worse, the Oni are seeking one who is possessed by a dark spirit, which is probably Kira. So remember when I said I wasn’t sure if Kira is ‘good’ or ‘bad?’ She’s probably bad… even if it’s not her fault.
Fortunately, the journey of Oni discovery wasn’t a total downer. Isaac (Daniel Sharman) needed a little *encouragement* before infiltrating Mr. Katashi’s lair, and Allison (Crystal Reed) was more than happy to oblige. A super-hot kiss and an even super-hotter butt squeeze was all Isaac needed to make him feel like a man. And, oh, what a man he is!
Answers About Stiles: He’s Crazy Like His Mama
Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) was convinced he was completely losing his mind — he determined that, not only did he write the message to Barrow on the blackboard, but he also assembled a bomb — so he checked himself into General McCall Hospital for a little R&R.
Mrs. McCall gave Stiles a sedative, he called her mom, and all seemed right/adorable with the world — that is, until Scott’s mom started looking at Stiles’ medical history. It turns out he has the same symptoms of delusion that his mother had just before her death in 2004.
(Speaking of Scott’s mom, how heartbreaking was it watching her try to save Scott’s dad tonight? I like that their relationship is slowly building this season, and I really hope he lives to see the end of it.)
In fact, the only thing we don’t have an answer to is what’s really going on with Stiles. He was confronted by the demons at the end of the episode, but rather than succumb to their powers, he reached into one of their chests and ripped out a firefly! He must have been in a trance, because when Scott arrived, he acted like he had no idea what had just happened.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think is going on with Stiles? Were you surprised by Kira’s revelation? And how hot was that Allison/Isaac butt grab? Drop a comment with your thoughts on tonight’s Teen Wolf below!
