Katy took her kooky style to a whole new level as she stepped out in a floral frock and matching cape — but it looked like she got caught up in too many curtains! Was her look lovely or way too loud? VOTE.
While sometimes Katy Perry‘s outfits may border on being costume-like, she usually always manages to pull them off — but unfortunately that wasn’t the case when she stepped out on the red carpet at the Los Angeles Convention Center for The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles on Jan. 27. Sure, we appreciate a dramatic red carpet moment, but this was way too busy for our liking!
Katy Perry’s Cape For Beatles Event — Love Or Loathe?
The songstress selected a blush pink jacquard, floral print frock which featured a burgundy, floral print. Katy’s look seemed like a dated costume that was more appropriate for a Halloween party! The dress stopped right below the ankle to reveal her pointy pumps. Due to the voluminous matching cape, it was hard to decipher where the dress ended and the cape began — and it just made her look wide. The top of the cape stayed fastened with a bow, adding to the busy vibe of the ensemble.
Had she rocked the dress alone it still would’ve made a statement — however it would have been way more flattering on her figure! Katy looked as if the printed fabric was about to swallow her up, right on the red carpet.
Statement earrings and a high bun completed the look. What do you think of Katy’s latest style statement? Was it totally fierce or a major fashion flop?
