Taylor Swift was already known for her emotional facial reactions at award shows, but her understandably thrilled response to thinking she’d won Album of the Year (she didn’t) at the Grammys on Jan. 26 will go down in history as the best T-Swift ‘surprised face’ of all time.
Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories won the Album of the Year Grammy on Jan. 26, but their competition Taylor Swift didn’t quite realize that right away. In fact — because her nominated album, Red, also starts with the letter “R” — Taylor and her team started reacting like she’d won when Alicia Keys announced Daft Punk as the victors. Oops!
Taylor Swift Thought She Won The Album Of The Year Grammy
It’s okay, Taylor — literally everyone else in the universe (except for maybe Daft Punk) would also start freaking out if they thought it was their album’s name being called for the biggest award in music, it’s just that most of us don’t have a beautifully over-the-top surprised face like you do.
Taylor reacting like her Red album had won for approximately two seconds wasn’t exactly on the same level of Zoolander taking the stage thinking he’d won Male Model of the Year for the fourth year straight, but it was still pretty spectacular. And thankfully, you’re not just going to have to take our word for it — Instagram user Jimmy Traina managed to catch the glorious fraction of a moment, which Taylor will hopefully be able to treasure forever. (Or, until she actually does win the Album of the Year Grammy.)

Plus in another hilarious moment in the Grammys telecast was when a host of NFL football legends in a Broadway meets football mash-up, Pepsi spoofed 2013’s most talked about, tweeted and parodied music moments during a two and half minute intermission spot during Sunday’s telecast. If they do it next year, Taylor’s moment will definitely be used!
Four men that are synonymous with the world of professional football took on another world …the world of music! Deion Sanders, Mike Ditka, Terry Bradshaw and Shannon Sharpe were featured in a first ever halftime intermission spot during tonight’s 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Cameos were made by Cassadee Pope, Prince Royce, Juicy J, Wale, Jhene Aiko and Mark Ballas.
