Our time with the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ gang is (sniff) coming to an end, and the show hit a major milestone on Jan. 27 as it celebrated its 200th episode — and what better time to have The Mother tell her side of the incredibly long-winded tale?
Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) has been telling television’s most long-winded story for nine years now, and on Jan. 27 the 200th episode of How I Met Your Mother finally revealed the other side of Ted’s tale.
‘HIMYM’ 200th Episode Reveals How The Mother Met Ted
Finally, The Mother (Cristin Milioti) got the chance to sneak a word in edgewise! The 200th episode of our favorite comedy series, “How Your Mother Met Me,” focused primarily on The Mother for the first time ever, taking the perspective away from the primary group of friends we’ve been hanging out with for nine seasons. The episode mostly contained flashbacks, and we even got a cameo from the dearly departed Cindy (Rachel Bilson), The Mother’s ex-roommate and Ted’s one-time flame.
Needless to say, we absolutely loved the episode. We laughed, we cried, we got ridiculously excited for the potential upcoming How I Met Your Dad spin-off. We’re going to miss our time with Ted, Marshall (Jason Segel), Robin (Cobie Smulders), Lily (Alyson Hannigan), and of course Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) more than anything, but we also love the way the show has handled its final season.
What did you think of the episode, fellow HIMYM fans? Were you satisfied with The Mother’s side of the story?
