are there really THIS MANY stupid people populating the planet today? too bad you fools have the ability to share and infect others online with your idiocy. Lorde is an artist and a grand one at that. I remember how much people hated Prince and started spitting hate about him saying he was satanic, a freak, and whatever. Now he is revered and recognized by most as one of the greatest musical artists that ever lived…even by some of the same people who hated on him back then and like Prince, this girl is non conformist and incredibly talented. It’s just sad that there are still so many ignorant fools in the world who couldn’t recognize true talent and genius if it bit ‘em in the *ss and for you there is far more crap out available for you to collect and listen to then there is good, quality music and art that has some value. You trying to expand your taste in art is like Peyton Manning trying to win the Superbowl.

But Prince is an artist who actually has range, and is you know good. Lorde is terrible, she has ZERO vocal range and her song are all 1/3 of a song repeated that are all contradictions with no real meaning (Royals is a pop song, pop songs are made to make to make money, but yet it preaches against material wealth when written by wealthy people to further gain material wealth). She is an absolute conformist, and she has no talent what so ever, an artist with talent is Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Evanescence, or you know some one who actually capable of singing. Also she has been signed up with a major label since she was 12, heavily promoted and manipulated, so again she is a conformist. Side note she seems like a bad rip off of Evanescene from they way she dresses and performs (she doesn’t have nearly as much vocal or writing talent) however she is such a sell out she just does terrible pop to get morons that think counterculture is cool to listen.

Oh she has been pretty wealthy most of her life (like most people in New Zealand) so she has probably never counted her money on a train. However that is just a side note that proves she is a typical pop star.

Mate you obviously don’t know New Zealand at all. Like every other Western economy it has its poor people too.

I like Lorde and the song “Royals” a lot, but the Grammy performance was just weird. Not very good in my opinion.

At last something different this is 2014 and music has been the same tired (popsicle) crap since rap died. Bring on change.

There was a backing track but no lip syncing required. Don’t start the comments off as a hater. Cheers.

The song requires no range or talent, there would be no point in lip syncing.
