The star sported an ethereal number that was totally appropriate for the major award show! Did you like her musical Valentino gown?
It’s safe to say that all eyes were on Katy Perry at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. After looking absolutely adorable in a daisy-printed dress at the Grimes concert on Jan. 24, she went back to her signature, quirky sense of style for the Grammys — and we loved the Valentino couture dress she chose.
Katy Perry’s Grammys Dress — Her Musical Note Gown:
It’s always a sight to see when Katy steps on the red carpet, and the 2014 Grammys were no different! The 29-year-old walked the carpet with her boyfriend John Mayer, and wore an ethereal frock that was so appropriate for the occasion.
The white, sheer sleeveless gown was fitted at the bodice before it flared out, revealing the musical notes that are printed on the skirt of the ensemble. Katy finished off her look by pairing the Valentino couture gown with a tight, high-bun. Wearing her hair back was an excellent choice, as it kept the focus on the detailing of the dress. The look isn’t something we would expect to see on just anyone, but on Katy it totally works — we love how she keeps it so interesting on the red carpet!
Katy Perry’s Grimes Party Dress:
Katy hung with her BFF Rihanna at the Grimes party a few nights before the awards wearing a mini dress that featured printed daisys. The black and white short-sleeved dress was belted around the waist, of course showing how great her figure is. However, the tall black socks and white platform sandals weren’t our favorite.
What do you think of Katy’s Grammys dress? Did her musical note dress move you or was it a major let down in your book?
